MadeMe x Vans Collection Video

Do you remember me blogging about the Mademe Collaboration a couple weeks ago?
Well, here is a recent video format to promote the clothing label.
Pretty cool!

Hey Young World!

It's funny as this track sounds like something that would get released today!

No other soul band looked as fly as The Temptations did...Look at the colors!

Classic picture of Mr. Wonder!

I'm pretty speechless still......

When ever Kanye creates something, I have to wait at least 24hours before I can express what he has created. It never hits me straight away.
But when I wacthed 'Runaway' the early hours of Sunday morning, that just set me back 3 days.
I have yet to express my opinion on the short film as I am still trying to take it all in.

All I can say is, the colors are amazing from the shots to the music.
I'll be back soon with a rundown!

Magnetic Man live at Maida Vale

Magnetic Man ft. Katy B - Perfect Stranger
I watched this a couple weeks ago and was blown away by everything. The string section also took it to the next level.
Katy B angelic vocals sound amazing as always.

Magnetic Man in Session - Magnetic Man ft. Emeli Sande - I Need Air
This has got to be my favourite out of the bunch. I love Emeli's Voice. She's the voice behind Chipmunks 'Diamond Rings' hook which I thought was incredible. She has also worked with Wiley, Professor Green and I'm sure there is more.

So much to.......

say, so much to do, so much to express. But first let me digest it all!

MTV Extended Play: Kanye West Interview

I think this is the best interview Kanye has done, why? because the you can clearly see that he is living his dream and almost doesn't know what to do with it.
It's amazing how you can be in the industry for years but only start to live your dreams years into it.
And must I add 'Flashing Lights' has got to be one of the greatest music video ever!

Kano - "Spaceship" (Official Video)

I was actually supposed to post this video the day it came out, but there was an error with posting it.
The first time I heard it, I didn't think much of the song to be honest. But then I listened to it again, and it is actually a very good song. I hear a lot of talk about how Kano is underrated, I do to. I just think he needs that one song, he has had many but I think he needs just one more to show people how relevant he is for the industry.
The video directing is sick! it was directed by Bison. and on production is Chase and Status.

Jay-Z "Decoded" book preview plus excerpts from book.

The Wall Street Journal posted some excerpts
WSJ: You’re famous for not writing your lyrics down as you compose them. What changes about them when you see them on the page like this?

Jay-Z: Some [lyrics] become really profound when you see them in writing. Not “Big Pimpin.” That’s the exception. It was like, I can’t believe I said that. And kept saying it. What kind of animal would say this sort of thing? Reading it is really harsh.

Modern songwriters 'pretty awful', says Sir Elton

The 63-year-old said he was not a fan of TV talent shows and confirmed that he turned down the opportunity to be a judge on American Idol.
He said that he admired contemporary stars such as Lily Allen, who he traded insults with at an awards ceremony two years ago, Amy Winehouse and Lady Gaga.
But there's a catch: "It's important they write their own songs, so they're not at the mercy of anyone. Songwriters today are pretty awful, which is why everything sounds the same. Contemporary pop isn't very inspiring."
The Rocket Man added: "I'm not a fan of talent shows. I probably wouldn't have lasted if I'd gone on one. I was asked to judge American Idol."
Sir Elton, who famously attacked Madonna for lip-synching on stage, said he "couldn't do" American Idol, which featured Simon Cowell as a judge before he quit to launch a US version of the X Factor, "because I won't slag anyone off".

My new tape........

I have been working on some new music for a while now and have decided to drop a new tape end of Nov.
I have been working on hard on this one and musically, its where I want to be.

I haven't really done much promo for this, but lets just say-Let the music do the talking.

I'm mad excited about this one!

Polish Fetish

Ok, for those who know will be surprised!
For 23 years I have been biting my nails and recently I decided to see what my nails would look like if I  were to grow them, and to my surprise they are actually quite nice. Who would have thought ay? I broke a nail last week and boy did i stress out!

So yeah, I've been spending time filing and maintaining them :) like a young lady,  But I never knew nail polish was so expensive-Flip me!
I buy at least two a week and get them done once a week.

I'm in love with the Rimmel '60 Second' quick dry collection.

I am currently wearing Grey Matter (805)

British Swag!

The November issue of Japanese publication POPEYE presents this editorial entitled British Invasion. Presented and styled by Tomoki Sukeza, the British invasion was captured by Junji Hata and includes several looks which work against conventional shapes and cuts. Exploring British aesthetics, the loose fitting garments are draped in heavy layers. Working with a range of garments from kilts to suits and stadium jackets the collection presented is both varied and unique.

The Sweet sounds of Mr. Hathaway!

This Musicmentory is to celebrate the format of Vinyl.
Directed by Jony Lyle for Goosepimple Productions 2010.

'UP THERE' Mini documentary

A mini-Documentary on hand-painted ads and the artist who are involved in painting them. The amount of hard work that goes into this alone is amazing!
I found this so inspirational, but at the same time sad. Technology has taken away a lot of people's livelihood.
I guess there is a who demand for advertisement, and probably not enough artists to produce such work in a short space of time-so thats where technology comes in.

But it was quite refreshing watching this and me think that maybe we need more artists to hand paint advertisements. So much more authentic.
Have a watch, its a very good doc!
