Eric Kim (Street Photography gathering)

On Monday afternoon, I found out that Eric was organizing a Street Photography gathering at Nando's in West End.
I just knew I had to be there no matter what. I stumbled across Eric's Website a couple months ago and was blown away by his work. He is based in LA but it currently travelling the world doing photography work shops. I missed the London work shop, so it was pretty cool when he planned to arrange this.
I met some pretty cool people that evening, really down to earth.
Considering I'm quite new to this all, they were all interested in my work.
Here are some pictures I took on the night.

Oh and check out Eric's Blog and Website here:

On Saturday, I shot an acoustic session with @Setoffmag at Thames Barrier Park which was real cool! It was a lovely day, so that helped even more.
The team were absolutely great, even though I arrived late :S

Ikea x Orange Wednesday.....

So last week, me and my cousin took a trip to Ikea which was overdue. Because Ikea is out in the middle of nowhere, trying to make a trip is almost impossible. It took me roughly about a year.
But we finally did it, finally brought a book shelf (which by the way is too big) so I guess I'll be planning a trip up there soon. I also brought a new plant which I have a thing for nowadays and some other little bits and bobs. Did I mention that we went up there on Wednesday? so yeah...it was a Wednesday (Orange Wednesday) So we went to see 'Safe House' which I thoroughly enjoyed!
Shout out to my cousin Nicki for the Orange code hook up!

The art of conversation is dying.........

#KONY 2012

To be honest, when I saw  KONY all over the web, I had no idea who or what it was; so of course I had to know more.
At first, I thought it was some sort of electronic product....little did I know! I know there are crimes like this happening all over the world but I guess I need to pay a little bit more attention to whats really going on.
I guess that is what this campaign is about, to make more people aware.
So I did a Google Search.
Joseph Kony is an Ugandan Guerrilla group leader Wanted for war crimes
in my eyes he is nothing but a false prophet.
The bulk of his foot soldiers are children who are forced to fight for him. There families are often killed when  abducting these children.
Young girls are kidnapped from schools who are then offered to the commanders as rewards. Joseph Kony has stated  "We don't have any children. We only have combatants."
Joseph Kony has  has abducted and forced an estimated 66,000 children to fight for them.

These evil crimes have been going on for over 25 years and has to stop.
Below is a documentary/campaign put together by Invisible Children that aims to make Joseph Kony famous, not to celebrate him, but to raise support for his arrest and set a decision for international justice.
This is an awesome video and definitely is a story that needs to be told.
They need to find him
SPREAD THE WORD!
